Global Studies - A European Perspective program awarded by the European Commission
The Institute of International Studies and its program: Global Studies - A European Perspective has been awarded by the European Commission and recognized as the best and the model international program in this field of international education. The European Commission has granted our program a "success story" status and will then be placed on the ERASMUS + international platform.
The project, which began in 2005, is supported by the European Commission and is a two years Master′s Course. It is dedicated to students who are interested in analyzing the social, cultural and historical contexts of globalization processes.
This curriculum acts as a forum for interdisciplinary debate, focusing on the European perspective.
The EMGS is active within six European universities: the London School of Economics (UK), the University of Leipzig (Germany), the University of Vienna (Austria), the University of Roskilde (Denmark), the University of Ghent (Belgium) and the University Wrocław (Poland) - with partner universities in Canada (Dalhousie), USA (Santa Barbara, University of California), South Africa (Stellenbosch), Australia (Macquarie, Sydney), China (Fudan Shanghai), India (Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi), Ethiopia (Addis Abeba University), Cameroon (University of Yaoundé) and New Zealand (University of Otago).
It is aimed at attracting people who are interested in deepening their understanding of the social, cultural and historical determinants of globalization. This program also serves as a forum for interdisciplinary debate on global issues from a European perspective.
The program is coordinated in the Institute of International Studies by: prof. Marek Wróblewski, dr. Jarosław Jarząbek, dr. Marek Musioł and supervised by the director of the Institute of International Studies - prof. Zdzisław Julian Winnicki.
