We are very pleased to inform all of you that the call for applications for the 2021 intake of the Erasmus Mundus Global Studies Master’s course is now open!


Until 15 February all applicants can also apply for one of 20 prestigious Erasmus Mundus scholarships, covering all tuition fees as well as a monthly grant of 1000 Euro and additional allowance for travel, installation costs and insurance.
Even though students from all countries of the world can apply for the Erasmus Mundus scholarships, we would especially encourage students from the following world regions to apply, as there are additional scholarships for those regions:
• African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries.
• European Neighbourhood Policy ENI South (Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Tunisia
• Asian countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Kazakhstan, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, North Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Vietnam)
• Central Asia
• Latin American countries (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Venezuela)
• Western Balkans
Due to the special challenges of the covid pandemic, this year you can apply for the Master’s completely online. Only successfully admitted students will then be asked later to submit hard copies to Leipzig. For more information, please find all details here:
